PICTURE OR PERSON? Anti-spoof SDK

Face picture is relatively easy to obtain compared to other biometrics, such as fingerprint and iris. It requires a strict antispoof measure to use it in access control applications.

Most of the time, we use the regular RGB camera to do face recognition. To add a layer of antispoof protection, we need to add a structure light depth camera or an infrared camera to detect if the face is a picture, mask or a real person.

Adding an additional device adds a significant cost, and it could be impractical for some applications. LinkSprite provides an antispoof SDK for Android and iOS just using the same RGB camera that is used to do face recognition. It doesn’t require the user to cooperate and make the judgement within 200ms in a typical quad-core application processor.
